Conceptual Photography Exhibition

The IFAA is calling for professional and amateur photographers to participate in this event, to exhibit works as photographic messages within the theme of conceptual photography. The exhibition is opened to different subjects by various artists.

 

 

 

***Conceptual Photography Exhibition***

The Iraqi Fine Artists Association in Britain (IFAA) is announcing the start of it’s art projects for 2013. The programme will include a variety of art activities, launching with the first conceptualphotography exhibition
(Photographic Messages)

The IFAA is calling for professional and amateur photographers to participate in this event, to exhibit works as photographic messages within the theme of conceptual photography. The exhibition is opened to different subjects by various artists.
Participation Requirements: -

1. (Photographic Messages) is the title of the exhibition, it is important that artists achieve the aim of the exhibition by submitting conceptual photographs.

2. Each photographer may participate with one work, but can send maximum of three works to give the chance for the selection board to choose one photograph that align with the exhibition theme.

3. Photographs should be sent in JPEG format with approximately 300 dpi pixels resolution. Preferably, each work to be numbered and titled consistently and to be emailed to the association’s account: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it

4. Entries must be the original work of the participants, not breach any rights of copyright.

5. All selected entries will be given a certificate of participation.

6. The deadline for submitting artist’s application to the IFAA association is no later than 20 Feb 2013. The application form could be downloaded from the association’s website. 

7. After receiving all applications and photographs by 20 Feb 2013, the association will notify the artists with the selection board’s decision on the chosen works. After contacting the artists with their selected photographs, all works should be printed and framed as A3. Finished works to be send to the allocated address no later than 5 March 2013. 

8. All works should be printed on A3 size paper (30x40 cm), the finished work including the frame should not accessed the size (40x50 cm) with the frame both horizontally or vertically. 

9. Artists living in Britain can send their works to the mentioned address of the association no later than 1 March 2013. The association will allocate a person to receive the finished works from artists or delivery on the same address.

10. Artists from outside the UK can send their works to the second address bellow by post no later than 5 March 2013.

11. Participants will cover all their expenses for posting the framed photographs from their locations with a pre paid guaranteed return shipment back to their original address. 

12. The IFAA Association is welling to print the artist work within the specified sizes and frame the work. Artists can notify the IFAA on mentioned email if they prefer the association to print and frame their works confirming the costs to pay the printing, framing and the costs of sending back the work for artists address. The association will send an email with details for total costs and bank account to credit. 

13. The IFAA Association is not responsible for any damages accrue to the photographs during the shipping process when send to or from the association by shipping companies. We advice all artists to insure their works before sending them to the Association. 

14. The IFAA Association is proposing two kind of framing for the artworks:

a. Print on special paper size (A3), wood frame size (50 x 40) and costs will calculate the above plus the delivery to the artist’s country where they live. 

b. Print on paper size (A3) and attached to (Foam Board) size (A3). Costs will calculate the above plus the delivery to the artist’s country where they live.
